CEEWA Uganda runs the Adolescent Empowerment Program targeting girls and boys in school on a quarterly basis during school holidays. The program was designed to increase adolescents' understanding to manage their transition into respected, empowered, employable and self reliant adults. Since its commencement in 2017, participants have raised their success stories and benefits from the program as indicated in the pocket brief.
While discussing their future careers, the adolescents indicated preference to do something that is aligned with their passion and well-paying to enable them contribute to the welfare of their families. Read more
CEEWA-U in partnership with and Mentor Generations organised the 4th HMEP during period 27th – 31st August 2018. The training program was attended by a total 16 students, mainly in Ordinary and Advanced Level in the schools within the community. The main thrust of the program was to build capacity of the students in school (aged 13-19) to manage their transition into responsible, confident and self -reliant adults and further equipped with skills for adopting to a dynamic environment.
